We have been exclusively appointed by our Client, the UK start-up of a Global Corporate Loans Business, to search for a MLRO (registered SMF17) who will be responsible for all UK AML matters.  Reporting to the UK CEO, duties will include:

 

  • Act as MLRO for the firm, ensuring business activities are conducted in conformity with applicable AML laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the firm adheres to its regulatory requirements.
  • Key contact for liaison with regulators, ensuring maintenance of good relationship and regulatory permissions remain current and appropriate for business needs.
  • Define and implement a monitoring methodology to appropriately address the AML regulatory risks faced by the business and carryout regular monitoring in accordance with such.
  • Responsible for all day-to-day KYC and AML activities, administration and reporting.

 

 

You should have a comprehensive knowledge of AML regulatory laws and either previously held SMF17 or have no reason wouldn't be accepted to hold such. While you must have previous experience of Banking including Corporate Loans, as important will be your desire to work in a small, dedicated team of professionals and your willingness to support others where needed.  

This role is offered on a part-time (2 days per week) flexible hybrid basis. Our client is looking for someone to start immediately, so you must be able to commit as soon as the role is offered and apply for SMF17 registration, even if don't commence office duties until January given time of year .
